2012 WDP E-Newsletter
Workforce Development Professionals have as their primary responsibility the facilitation of processes by which individuals identify, prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment, careers, and self-sufficiency; and by which businesses, other employing organizations and communities develop, access and retain a workforce that enables them to maintain and improve their economic competitiveness.
North Carolina’s Workforce Development Professionals are Case Managers, Program Directors, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors and Community College Instructors. They are Workforce Development Board Members, Human Resource Specialists, Labor Market Analysts and Youth Program Operators.
They are frontline staff and executives, elected officials and office support staff. They are trainers and job developers and career development facilitators. While the list goes on and on, all are united in service to workforce development.
During Workforce Development Professional Month, we recognize these individuals for the value they add to our communities.
Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in the month-long observance and honor North Carolina Workforce Development Professionals.
